Just above the last set of leaves. It is possible to get multiple cuttings.

you mean the leaves closest to the ground?  Do you cook and eat the leaves or just the stems?

BTW I am not a broccoli eater, I am growing it for my wife.

Broccoli will get tiny yellow flowers if you let it grow to long, if it flowers, it gets real bitter fast.

Also, no you want to cut it between the heads and the last leaves going up the stalk. IE leave as many leaves as you can with the plant to get it to grow more.

the broccoli heads will actually start to fade their dark green color and begin to turn yellow before the 'fluorettes' open into flowers.  You may have seen broccoli in the grocery store that is showing this change.

The subsequent heads will be much smaller than the first.  Great for salads.

NONE I have done extensive research into this and have found that all result in massive quantities of gas.

So from this research we can conclusively say that Global Warming is being caused by the over eating of broccoli and politicians expending hot air them.

If you don't believe me, walk by the capitol, you will notice a 10 degree change in the temperature as you get closer.  And it really gets dangerous on the Capital's eat broccoli day. Even the space station can see the heat vapors

Actually, I was thinking beans.  Maybe all legumes.

Do you think I could get a grant from EPA to set up a research facility?
