Will post mine when I get it redone! Saw the koi for the first time last night when we fed. Here are some before we tore it apart to redo it.

I agree with Kristi, pretty pond. Why would you want to re-do it? I think it looks MARVA-LOUS! Question, what is a KOI? Is that a fish? Are you all doing these ponds yourself? I'm absolutely stunned at how beautiful they are. What is the
maintenance like on these type of ponds? Anything special you have to do in the winter?

My husband did most of the work on ours, I just bossed! We drove for miles picking up just the rocks! lol! In the winter I left one pump going til it got to cold  and had to shut it down~ the only fish I took in the house were the babies, the snails and the algae eater. Everything else stayed put. Once the water reaches 50 degrees you don't need to feed your fish anymore.. My husband kept a hole in the ice for the gases to escape, but other than that no problem! My main problem is green in the summer~

Thanks. We were gone all weekend so I haven't got to check on the fish. The pond are just over 2 foot deep. There isn't much maintenance to them, but when you do clean them out it's a job. We had a leak in the liner this past fall so we decided since we had to replace the liner we would make it bigger - you can never make one too big!

All of our rocks are local too, we spend many hours rock hunting.

I leave my pumps running year round. I also have stock tank heaters for the really long, cold spells.
