  • Valor7: Actually no it is not, a dependable Revenue stream will not come on line until the 4th quarter of 2017 so 2018 budget will be up in the air, not quite sure what they will have. By 2019 budget all will be well.

  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

  • Lepard LLC: Gene Newkirk Rick I have waited for a Sheriff to bring it to me on what he wanted. I have pushed Mr long for a while to get it to me. He told me he was close to having or done. Now hopefully the people will get to decide on it. I spoke with Steve about this a few times.

WASHINGTON (Reuters)   Tobacco use will kill 6 million people next year from cancer, heart disease, emphysema and a range of other ills, global cancer experts said in a report issued on Tuesday.
The new Tobacco Atlas from the World Lung Foundation and the American Cancer Society estimates that tobacco use costs the global economy $500 billion a year in direct medical expenses, lost productivity and environmental harm.
"Tobacco's total economic costs reduce national wealth in terms of gross domestic product (GDP) by as much as 3.6 percent," the report reads.
"Tobacco accounts for one out of every 10 deaths worldwide and will claim 5.5 million lives this year alone," the report said. If current trends hold, by 2020, the number will grow to an estimated 7 million and top 8 million by 2030.

That's one way to control the population explosion...
The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance. Cicero - 55 BC, Rome

On top of that.......add a dangerous chemical to the already hundreds in cigarettes, that will blister the lungs......and call it fire safe. I cant wait to see what becomes of this firesafe bull ^&% . I dont smoke but i did do a little test of my own with my wifes smokes, since her neice came up with some serious blisters in her mouth and throat from FSC Cigs. I didnt buy it at first. But I took a drag of a Marlboro light regular, then one off of the FSC, and my gums imediately started to burn between my teeth. I did a little research from the cigarette companies info sites and supposedly the tobacco has not changed in flavor or make up....only the paper. I wonder then what the hell is in the paper that changes the flavor and causes mouth and throat problems. Our niece stopped smoking the FSC and found a few cartons of regulars and her blisters went away. I have heard problems from alot of people who smoke. Now I quit because cigarettes are deadly. I know. but to make them even worse makes me sick. people are already dying and dont need anymore help. Why not make a safer healthier cigarette or program to help people quit. I think more people are dying from the cancer than the burning down of homes and killing folks that way. Id be hard to convince otherwise.
