Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. Okay, so we are moving to the area around the first. Our place is on Top Drive, and my main question is out EMS service.  I have two children that both have chronic health issues. Having EMS responses out not unusual for us. So with that said, How is the EMS service there.  I know some counties have Volunteer Squads and being an EMT myself I understand the factors you have to take in account, but just in general how are response.    Also if anyone can tell us what the area is like and the roads in the winter that would be very helpful as well. Thank you guys & gals..

EMS is bar none the best. Especially for top drive. I live close. Average response for my area is about 4-6 minutes from call. Your Children will be in great hands.

Local EMS is top drawer service, the very best, as Biscuit said you are in good hands. Medical and fire are joined at the hip with medical staff people and I even have several EMT's.

Thank you for your responses.  It really helps.   I am looking forward to arriving there, now if I can find my home with out getting lost I will be doing good.  Map quest makes it look easy enough so we will see.

very easy to find.  In the winter the road are passable unless we have ice.  Main thing is right after a good snow everybody is trying to get home or get groceries...be prepared.  4wd is nice since you will be traversing a couple of good hills.

you are in the country.  Although there are a lot of houses up in the Top Drive area, they are out away from the main roads.  The road to Top Drive can be bad at times as in maintenance bad.  But, you will get used to it and consider it a way of life.  :)

This makes me happy ;D . I am a country girl from WV  relocating do to the military.  So this will make me feel at home.   Is it sad when country roads are all it takes to make you smile.  I really cant wait to get there.  I get more excited by the day.  I am also hoping that I can pick back up in the Fire & EMS service, once we get settled.  On another note  can a semi traverse these roads?  I have House Hold goods being delivered.  Just trying to get my ducks in a row.  I want to let the driver know if he needs to shuttle my things to my house.

Most of Top Drive is accessible to semis.  These are not country type dirt roads, they are paved roads that are not maintained as well as they should be.  This whole area though is rural so you will probably feel right at home.  Nearest mall is almost 90 miles away but that helps you save money. :)  It is growing though. You will either like it or hate it.  That's pretty much how it goes here with military people.  I personally love it.  A lot of people retire here, so it can't be too bad.

Good to know, I will tell the driver, also I dont want the truck taking up the whole road or tearing it up.  Thank you so much for your help and taking the time to respond.  Not for sure how back on Top I am 15605 is my house, from what i could see online Top kind of makes a semi circle.

No, I tried  it dosent even show the address.  I guess I will see it when we get there.  Just hoping it is a good area.  Low Crime  and all that stuff.   Also hoping that the community is friendly and welcoming.  We are wanting a children to feel like they are home and belong to a community instead of feeling like outsiders all the time.  That is the main reason we chose off post.
