  • Valor7: Actually no it is not, a dependable Revenue stream will not come on line until the 4th quarter of 2017 so 2018 budget will be up in the air, not quite sure what they will have. By 2019 budget all will be well.

  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

News Release
Shooting Incident
Pulaski County Sheriff J. B. King
Oct. 14, 2009

On Tuesday October 13, 2009, at approximately 3:49pm the Pulaski County 911 Center advised the Pulaski County Sheriff’s office that a subject had been shot at his residence on Roscoe Lane and was being taken to the Witmor Farms Restaurant parking lot by a private vehicle to meet a Pulaski County Ambulance unit. Deputies responded to the parking lot to speak with the victim.

The subject who had been shot was Tony Trotter Jr., age 50, of 25630 Roscoe, Waynesville, Missouri. Trotter told deputies that he had been shot by an unknown assailant at his residence. Trotter was taken by Pulaski County Ambulance to the Phelps County Regional Medical Center.

At this time deputies from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s office are continuing the investigation. We have no reason to believe that this was a random act of violence. We believe that there is more to the incident then we have been told and Trotter was the specific target of the shooter.

Lots more to the story.  Glad it seems that there was only one target.  Hope he recovers.  Thanks for the information JB.

Trotter..... It seems like that name has been in the news alot lately.....
Some people are like Slinkies... Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I'd give my left arm to be ambidextrous...

His son is the one that robbed the convenience store out on the interstate at the Richland exit a year or so ago.  Tony has been arrested more times than I can count.  Sad, at one point he had cleaned up his reputation, had an insulation business, Abbott Insulation, with several large contracts from what I heard.
When I was young, I wanted to be older.  This is not what I expected!

Shooter probably not a danger to public, Pulaski County sheriff says
BUCKHORN, Mo. (Oct. 14, 2009) — Pulaski County Sheriff J.B. King says he’s fairly sure the person who was shot in the leg west of Waynesville on Tuesday afternoon knows who shot him, but that Tony Trotter, 50, isn’t telling everything that could be said about the incident. Pulaski County deputies, Waynesville firefighters and Pulaski County Ambulance District personnel responded after the Pulaski County 911 Center received a 3:49 p.m. call from a woman who came to the old Witmore Farms restaurant and said a male passenger in the car with her had been shot in the leg and “lost a lot of blood.” Emergency personnel tried to get a medevac helicopter to respond but the local helicopter couldn’t fly due to bad weather conditions, so ground ambulance personnel took him to Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla for emergency treatment. The victim turned out to be Trotter, who lives on Roscoe Road where the shooting was reported to have taken place. The shooting touched off an extensive manhunt Thursday evening by numerous police agencies whose officers combed the county’s back roads for an older-model black Dodge Dart or similar vehicle, but weren’t able to locate the shooter. “We have no reason to believe that this was a random act of violence. We believe that there is more to the incident then we have been told and Trotter was the specific target of the shooter,” King wrote Wednesday in a prepared statement.
