Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

Linnenbringer will not file for re-election

By Randy Scruggs
The Mirror
Pulaski County County Clerk Diannna Linnenbringer will not file for re-election in 2010.
Linnenbringer made the announcement at the Dec. 31 meeting of the Pulaski County Commission. She said she will return to her hometown of St. Louis after her current term ends.
Linnenbringer said she is leaving Pulaski County for family reasons. Her family lives in St. Louis.
“I will always be grateful to the citizens of Pulaski County for putting their trust in me,” Linnenbringer said. “There are some other things I want to do,” she added.
Linnenbringer was first elected in 2002, and was re-elected in 2006.  © Copyright 2008 by www.richlandmirror.com

I am going to miss having Dianna at the courthouse.  Best of luck to you in St. Louis Dianna!
I happen to feel that the degree of a person's intelligence is directly reflected by the number of conflicting attitudes she can bring to bear on the same topic.

I'm really going to miss Dianna.  She's always been so wonderful at her job and creates no drama...wherever she goes to work in St. Louis, they will be getting a valuable asset.  I wish her the best of luck and happiness in the future.
....and that night as the moon crossed the mountain, one more Coyote was heard...

I think she may have come her for personal reasons that didn't work so now she is leaving.  I wish her luck she was always helpful to me before she got the job she has when she was still in the prosecutors office.
When I was young, I wanted to be older.  This is not what I expected!

I know the whole story of why Diana Linnenbringer came here and why she is retiring (yes, it **IS** a voluntary retirement with a county pension after two terms in elected office and several prior years as a county employee). It's a personal decision on both counts and I think it should be left at that.

By Diana's request, I said nothing about her retirement plans, which I knew about long ago, until she "slipped up" and mentioned them in today's public session of the county commission. Then I started peppering her with questions that generated the article in today's Richland Mirror, and probably Satuday's Daily Guide.

To forestall any rumors, there's no ulterior motives here, and anyone who says there are is wrong.

She received the second-highest margin of victory in the county last time when she ran, and for a while kept a framed copy of my article about that on her office wall. As Commissioner Zweerink said, Diana had strong support on both sides of the political aisle (both Republicans and Democrats) and I think he's right in saying she would have won again if she had wanted to run.

You get a pension after two terms, isn't that 8 years?  How long was she just a county employee?  I didn't think she was here that long.  Man we all need to get county jobs.

Sorry Iggy you can't just work for the county you have to be elected and serve 2 terms at the least.
You wouldn't believe how many people are collecting a pension right now  %%$%$$# ^^^%%%

It's too wordy to put here but if you want to know about county government retirement visit www.molagars.org
That's the site to the Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System (LAGERS) is a non-profit public pension system that provides retirement, disability and survivor benefits to Missouri's local government employees.  Depending on how a county employee or elected official participates in the plan would have a lot to do with their "pension."
