I know a girl from here who went a couple seasons ago.  She can really sing and she didn't even get past the first round.   They are looking for certain "types."
When I was young, I wanted to be older.  This is not what I expected!

I guess that is why it is a reality show... I know a girl from here that went a couple years ago too and they told her that she needed to lose weight.  I think that is ridiculous because there have been several heavy people on there.

I think the one's selected were awesome...I've already pegged a couple to make it in the top 10.

There were quite a few good ones chosen last night. It would be hard for me to pick which one I liked best.  Can't wait to see who makes it out of that group.

I liked the Chicago try-outs somewhat.  I was sort of disappointed in Orlando though.  I'm really tired of those people and their sad background stories.  Seems like that's something you could find out if they win.

Yeah, I would rather wait to hear those things if, and that's a big IF, when they make the top 10.

Do you guys miss Paula.  I don't think it effects the show at all.

There toward the end, Paula was grating on my nerves.  I read that she quit due to salary disputes.  Fine.  Now she's making nothing and she's outgrown her 1980's singing and dancing videos.  I guess she'll find out how good she had it.

Country girl got kicked off.  BUT...Ellen was a really good judge!  I was surprised.  I thought she'd try to be all funny, but she took it seriously and was honest with the contestants.  I really liked Andrew Garcia's version of Paula's "Straight Up."  He was my favorite of the night.  Tonight there should be only 24 left.  It's fairly easy to see which cream will float to the top.

This used to be my favorite show...this year is boring and stupid and I don't think anyone is all that good.  The judges love that one blonde girl with the dreadlocks; Bowersox?  I guess because she sounds like Janice Joplin.  So?  I think Frank Caliendo could sound like Janice Joplin if he wanted to...we don't need a "sound alike."  If I want to hear Janice Joplin...I'll listen to my Janice Joplin CDs.  I don't see much more coming from this show...9 seasons might be enough.  It's wearing me down.

Finally they have been narrowed down to the final 6 (5 after tonight),  I really think Lee DeWyze will take it this year, or at least come in 2nd to Crystal Bowersox.  I don't really care for her style of singing, but the judges are pushing for her to win it...you can tell.  I think Aaron Kelly or Big Mike will go tonight....I'm glad this year is over.

They were really hard on Crystal last night.  I think she is a great singer but I don't like her personality that much.  You know she tried to leave the show, said she didn't need AI, and didn't like it and they talked her into staying so I hate to see her win. I like Lee.

Wow, I hadn't heard that about Crystal.  I'd like to see what she would do if she quit AI...probably like Randy said...coffee houses.  I was sort of surprised that Sioban left last night.  I didn't really like her style either, but thought she had a fan base.  Sadly, she sings well, but it was mostly her wardrobe that turned me off from her.

And now he is gone...hated to see his wife's tears, but he got that reprieve from the judges and coming in 4th is nothing to sneeze at.

was'nt it eerie how Janet Jackson sang and the 1st thing that came to my head was how much she sounded like Micheal
