A shot was fired by bad guy but PCSD deputy wrestled the gun from his hands. More later. No injury from gunshot.

I will be calling the new Crocker police chief this morning. He went through the hurricanes in New Orleans and he'll be well-equipped to handle media inquiries.

FYI, the Crocker police chief has been out of the office all day. Since he's brand new, I'm not going to press too hard on this matter since it was resolved without loss of life or property damage. Crocker has a long history of good media relations and I think it's best that I not jump all over this one and create a problem where one does not now exist.

I will take a very different approach if any other media jump on this, but right now I think I've got more information than anyone else in the media and am choosing to "play nice." Let's cut the new guy some slack until procedures get put in place to deal with emergency situations like this.

Is there a picture and bio available of the new Crocker Police Chief?  Is he young, old?  Married?    How was he selected?  I'd like to know some info.
....and that night as the moon crossed the mountain, one more Coyote was heard...

Yes.

I have a profile article on the chief coming. He's from Missouri to the west of here, married to a Louisiana lady and served in the Tulane University police department in New Orleans during the hurricanes. He has two young children and came back here because he wanted to do community policing.

I dont think that at all, they live across the street from my mom and they really seem like very nice people. his wife has always got a smile and kids are so cute. And he is the 1 who stated many of times that he loves the small town life.
Go ahead and blame me....Everyone else does

I hope that you are right. It is just strange that very seldom anything ever happens in Crocker and now all of a sudden Crocker is seeing lots of action. Also, I know that police work is very stressful and if you come from a place where there is lots of action, a small town like Crocker can be very boring. I hope he does a good job and is fair to everyone regardless of who they are........
