Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. I have a suggestion for the census.  Instead of sending people out knocking on doors.  You never know what kind of person might open the door.   Why can't the city or county utility office just send out a questionnaire in their bill and give a $10.00 credit toward your next bill if you complete it and send it in. Everybody has a utility bill. Whoever is paying the census workers could pay the utility company instead for the discount.

Just wondered.
When I was young, I wanted to be older.  This is not what I expected!

If you turn in your census form mailed to you, you will have nobody knock on your door.

The people doing doorknocking are following up on those who did not return what was sent to them in the mail.

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, So love the people who treat you right, Forget the ones who don't, and believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

I think there are 10 questions.  The purpose of the census is to count the number of citizens in the area.  All other questions are impertinent as far as I am concerned.

The Census bureau does a lot more than just count people. Go check out their website and see what they do with this information and all of the other stuff they do. The count of people in an area affects a lot of stuff for the area; grants, voting districts, not to mention what other government agencies use this data for.

If you send in an incomplete form you will have a census working knocking on your door.  Why not just answer the questions and send it back in?

Week after next you are likely to see census works out and about. They are updating maps and giving questioners to those addresses that for whatever reason would not receive on in the mail.  When this is complete the next faze of the census starts and those who failed to mail in their questionairs or did not complete them will be getting visits from census workers.

Long story short fill it out and mail it in. ALL INFORMATION IS CONFIDENTIAL!
There is NEVER a right way to do the wrong thing!

I just mailed my Census form.  It took me 2 minutes to fill out.  Pretty straightforward questions.  There is a lady working at the Waynesville City Hall to offer help to people with the forms, if it is needed.  She is there from 2-5 and will be there until April 19.  The Census is VERY important to our county and cities.  Please take care of this important citizenship responsibility.
