  • Valor7: What I tried to say is that the actual money would not be there that quick. But a loan against that would work if they are willing to do that.

  • Lepard LLC: Why so long before it comes online? 911 took out a loan or bond with the known guarantee payment and began building..

  • Valor7: Actually no it is not, a dependable Revenue stream will not come on line until the 4th quarter of 2017 so 2018 budget will be up in the air, not quite sure what they will have. By 2019 budget all will be well.

  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

  • Lepard LLC: Gene Newkirk Rick I have waited for a Sheriff to bring it to me on what he wanted. I have pushed Mr long for a while to get it to me. He told me he was close to having or done. Now hopefully the people will get to decide on it. I spoke with Steve about this a few times.

News Release
Overdose Call Leads to Arrest
Pulaski County Sheriff J. B. King
March 23, 2010

Shortly before noon on March 21, 2010, a series of 911 calls were received by the Pulaski County Communications Center regarding a male subject who was a possible drug overdose victim. Deputies from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office were sent to a gas station on Rt. Z and were unable to locate the subject or the vehicle that had been mentioned. Next a call came in for the same circumstances at a residence on Herman Drive. Deputies responded to Herman Drive and once again the subject and vehicle were not found.

However at 12:28pm the Pulaski County Ambulance Service advised that they had located the car at the junction of Hex drive and the North Outer Road. Deputies were on scene immediately.  The reported male overdose victim was found in the car and was transported to a hospital by the ambulance crew.

A second white male in the vehicle was identified as Michael Esparza, age 22, of 10674 Trout Road, Devils Elbow, Missouri, 65457. Esparza had been sought by the Pulaski Sheriff’s Office due to an active warrant for a residential burglary that had occurred on Lentil Lane in rural Pulaski County on February 2, 2010. Mr. Esparza was immediately taken into custody. A search of the vehicle located a small bag of white powder that has been sent to the lab for testing.

On March 22, 2010, Pulaski County deputies requested and received a search warrant for the DNA of Michael Esparza as a follow up to another burglary investigation. The search warrant was served at the Pulaski County Jail.  The investigation in this case and several other burglary cases will continue.

At this time Mr. Esparza remains in the Pulaski County Jail pending the posting of a $30,000.00 bond. As a reminder the charge filed on Mr. Esparza is merely an accusation of an offense and is not proof of guilt. The final determination must be made by a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
