  • Valor7: Actually no it is not, a dependable Revenue stream will not come on line until the 4th quarter of 2017 so 2018 budget will be up in the air, not quite sure what they will have. By 2019 budget all will be well.

  • Valor7: You mean that tax that the Commissioners would not put on the ballot for so many years? Strange things happened when the citizens got a chance to vote on that issue.

  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: sorry about the typos still working with just one arm in action
    April 13, 2016, 01:10:42 PM
  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

It's about that time. We are scheduled to open the second Saturday of May, in Waynesville. We have more produce vendors committed this year but some won't be setting up until June.  Just called a guy that is selling nothing but heirloom veggies.

I am also looking for a location in St. Robert to set up a mid week market.  The city was not receptive to our market, as far as using city owned property. I need a business who would be willing to let us set up.  We would like Tuesday evenings from 3pm-7pm. If we can't find a suitable location we will have the mid week market in Waynesville at the same location as the Saturday market.

Remember that our market is ran by volunteers and the growers and the community reap the benefits of the farmers' market.

I am really excited about this year and think we are making slow but sure progress.

Call the lady that owns Dog World (grooming)  in St. Robert.  It's close to the Catholic Church.  I think she is the only business in that little area and that would a be a good place for a farmer's market.  Right on the City Route and easy in and out parking.  I don't think she owns the property but she can put you in touch with whoever does.
When I was young, I wanted to be older.  This is not what I expected!

And Luther Thomas properties in Hidden Valley owns a couple places in St. Robert that might be good if you can talk them into letting you go there.  The building next to O'Reilly Automotive belongs to them and it is empty at this time.  Across from Dairy Queen.

Hidden Valley is owned by the Farris family. Thomas properties are managed by their office in the Clayton Towers Mall.

I know they own that large piece of land close to Wells Fargo  where the donut place used to be and I thought that might be a good place.
