  • nursejdavis: I am looking for a few Press Releases from Kevin Hillman that have disappeared.... not sure why they would be hidden from the public unless they contain narcs who have gotten their charges dropped for their cooperation. Seems the same Press Releases were also deleted from Facebook. Thanks for any help in locating these

  • Valor7: Actually no it is not, a dependable Revenue stream will not come on line until the 4th quarter of 2017 so 2018 budget will be up in the air, not quite sure what they will have. By 2019 budget all will be well.

  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

Missouriís bipartisan congressional delegation urges census participation

Congressman Ike Skelton

Missouriís bipartisan congressional delegation urges census participation
WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 17, 2010) ó Every ten years, the U.S. Constitution requires the federal government to perform a census, a nation-wide count of the population. Starting a few months ago, every household in America received a short form of ten questions, some of which have been asked since 1790. So far, about 73 percent of Missouri homes have returned their completed forms to the Census Bureau. While this is a good start, it is especially important for our state to achieve complete participation this year. More thsn $400 billion in federal assistance funds for our state and local governments ó used to support our roads, schools, and hospitals ó are allocated according to census data. Also, the size of each stateís delegation in the U.S. House of Representatives is determined by these population counts. While there are currently nine representatives from the Show-Me State in the U.S. House, Missouri could lose a seat if census participation continues to lag. According to some reports, Missouri is projected to retain all nine of its current seats by the slimmest of margins ó roughly 9,000 of the stateís 6 million people, or less than 1 percent of the total population. With only an estimated 73 percent of the stateís population accounted for today, losing a Congressional seat to another state is certainly possible.
