  • Lepard LLC: Why so long before it comes online? 911 took out a loan or bond with the known guarantee payment and began building..

  • Valor7: Actually no it is not, a dependable Revenue stream will not come on line until the 4th quarter of 2017 so 2018 budget will be up in the air, not quite sure what they will have. By 2019 budget all will be well.

  • Valor7: You mean that tax that the Commissioners would not put on the ballot for so many years? Strange things happened when the citizens got a chance to vote on that issue.

  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: sorry about the typos still working with just one arm in action
    April 13, 2016, 01:10:42 PM
  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

any way to see the totals for the uncontested races as well? I know the person won, but I personally would like to see the vote totals. In particular I would like to see the accumulative totals for the County Clerks office.

The total in the total column is correct and does include the handicap votes, but we did not create a handicap column.

Regarding uncontested races... I'll be dealing with that ih my own articles. Rick has to get this up quickly, which I cannot do because of internet connection issues at the courthouse. I follow up with more detailed articles.

According to Vicky Hartzler's Facebook Post, Congressman Skelton has called her to concede.  Just an FYI...

The whole what is good for the country is good for the county bit, don't really get it.  The country could be doing good but there will be counties if not states that are poor or heading there. It is not equal. Usually it the most powerful higher ranking congress-person /senator that wins. She may bring in ag. dollars but the big money is in defense and we just lost our edge.  I would rather be a rich county or at least middle class than poor one.

I will give you the Ike did a lot of good for our area.  But lets not cut her at a loss before she's even begun.  Wasn't everyone screaming GIVE OBAMA a chance when he was elected?  Now we have time to do that here.  I'm excited and hopeful.  Lets see if she can come through for us.
