So, we go to Panera in St. Robert today and we order some food, pull out from the drive through and notice we don't have a spoon for the soup, no one is in line so we back up to the window. We tell them we don't have a spoon. Their reply is, we are out of spoons. I ask why we weren't told that and how do you eat soup without a spoon? She replied the manager said to not tell anyone we are out unless they ask. Therer was ten percent chicken and noodles and 90 percent juice.

How much would it have cost them to run to wal mart and get some spoons just to keep the customers happy.

Or call the Rolla store and meet half way....but - all this would have required thought process and execution....

So far I haven't been impressed with this Panera. I know they are new but the food doesn't have the quality of Rolla or Osage Beach and they are all owned by the same company, Ozark Breads, as far as I know, so there is no reason for that.  I have given them two chances and have had things people have brought to work and been unhappy. When I let them know about it via online, as I was told one day on the phone that this was the best way to get a complaint in, I heard Not one word back. I let companies know when they are doing a great job but I also let them know when they aren't and you always get a response, even if its a generic response, so whenever I didn't hear anything from Panera, I crossed them off my list.

Recieved this today.

Hello my name is Aaron Coates and I am the newly appointed General Manager of your local Panera Bread. I would like to apologize for the service that you received the last time you where in my cafe. You are right there is no reason for us to have run out of soup spoons to serve the guest with. I would like the opportunity to win back your business by offering you a lunch on us here at Panera to show you the service that we can provide for you in the future. Again I apologize for the service that you did receive. Feel free to contact me at 573-336-4488. I do appreciate the comments so that future issues like this do not happen again.

Thank You
Aaron Coates

I wish they would close it down and bring a Coltons here instead.......I hate Paneras food. I think everything tastes like ass. Id rather a high grade steak house take up that spot......or that catfish joint.....either one. Id rather have my toenails ripped off by a belt sander than eat at panera.

hahah I had to laugh... I've not eaten "ass" so I wouldn't know the comparison. hahahah :-) I do however, love panera.  I love that it's different flavors like asiago roast beef or sierra turkey or their spinach and artichoke souffle etc.  Not just plain old burger and fries.

I just added the words "I think" to your post to emphasize that Panera tasting like "ass" is just your opinion.

I don't think Panera's tastes bad at all!  I think it's really good and a little classier than others.  People shouldn't bad mouth the new places because there are plenty for everyone to choose from and your bad comments could make some decide to go elsewhere.  If you have something bad to say, at least say why.

And Ive probably tasted better ass....of course this is my opinion and not a public opinion so you should taste an ass and then eat there to rebute me.....otherwise an opposite opinion would be disregarded............Ha Just kidding of course......I just dont like it. apparently people do ....My Wife and I notice its packed all the time...but cant figure out why. Im glad people go there to stimulate our local economy....I really am. But I cant stand it....

I for one won't be going back anytime soon... I went in there mid morning the other day. First thing out the guy that appeared to be boss, was chewing an employee out in the lobby. (too much to do that in private?) Anyway after a super slow experience at the counter we finally got our food and ate. When we were just about done, the 'boss' came over and asked about our experience and food. I was truthful and told him that it was distasteful to hear the chewing out he gave to the employee, BOY THAT WAS A MISTAKE! I spent the next 2 minutes getting a loud lecture on boss/employee relations and I should keep my nose out if it... Very unprofessional for sure.

My boss does that to me all the time....little demeaning comments in front of customers to make me look bad.  I've been trying to find a different job for over 4 years, but have come close, but nothing yet.  I know this might sound silly to some, but I think it's God's way of teaching me patience, strength and the ability to bear suffering.
