Good luck... I can't find one that is 1) has a responsible caring, attentive staff, 2) reasonably priced 3) clean and 4) where parents don't bring their coughing hacking snotty kids when they are sick.   I get that people need to work but it's a vicious cycle if they bring their snotty kids to daycare then everyone else gets it then they just keep passing it around.

Am I just not in the know or is it common practice for babysitters and daycares to charge you even if your kid doesnt go there a particular day.  Everyone ive been to around here says we have to pay fdor the week regardless if they are only there 3 days.

Normal child care is approximately $75-$125 per week per child, depending on age of the child......

Yes it is common practice that you pay per week, regardless if your child is there or not.  Which makes it very hard for those who only need it a little bit.

Wow I've never ever seen $500 a week in Waynesville.  Maybe that's for multiple kids, or monthly...

Yes that is what they do.  They are holding spot for you, whether your child is there or not, so you have to pay, even if you are gone of vacation.  At least that's the way it was when I worked in one a long time ago.

Which makes sense to me, I do understand.  I just wish I could find someone that had a part time slot open.   I had someone lined up to watch her and now she has decided she doesn't want to do childcare....

I have had luck with care.com They list local people that have childcare in their homes or come to your house.  It's worth a shot. The people have profiles and references on their, etc.

Have you tried the one over by the St. Robert municipal center.  Seems to me, when my daughter first used a day care she took them there on a part time basis.  Of course, it would have to be a scheduled part time.  Couldn't just drop them off anytime you wanted.  Not sure but seems I remember that.

They do but they are full, the other places I've called do not allow infant slots part time because the infant slots are filled so quickly.. I'm sure something will work out.

Since it is part time, is working from home an option?
