  • nursejdavis: I am looking for a few Press Releases from Kevin Hillman that have disappeared.... not sure why they would be hidden from the public unless they contain narcs who have gotten their charges dropped for their cooperation. Seems the same Press Releases were also deleted from Facebook. Thanks for any help in locating these

  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

Hartzler votes against raising debt ceiling over defense cut concerns

U.S. Rep. Vicky Hartzler

Hartzler votes against raising debt ceiling over defense cut concerns
WASHINGTON, D.C. (Aug. 1, 2011) — Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler says she has taken a stand for fiscal discipline and a strong national defense, voting against the latest bill to increase the nation’s debt ceiling. “The solution approved by Congress and sent to President Obama dramatically cuts our national defense,” said Hartzler. “This agreement strips $350 billion from the Base Defense Budget and has the Obama Administration bragging that this is, ‘the first defense cut since the 1990’s.’ The package also leaves the door open to the possibility of $500 billion in defense cuts down the road.” Click here to read more on Pulaski County Daily News ...

cutting defense with 2-4 wars going on? nobama has no clue. raising the debt ceiling will increase NEW spending. he already said we need more investment in roads and infrastructure, that is one excuse he gave for raising the debt ceiling. another was to pay commitments congress already passed, the congress this one replaced!

Yes due to the fact your party wouldn't end tax loopholesfor Big OIL andother huge Corp.  and make some people pay the same the same tax rate's of those in the military, there was a need to cut the military budget, so because the right didn't care about our defence your party decided to cut defence spending, which will cost Missouri jobs. Great going there on your part. We should of elected Ike for one more term

Hey guy,who you talking about here? Got me confused. So I see you agree with Obama that all need to pay their fair share of taxes. Taxing the folks on welfare won't be easy. They are the only ones not paying any taxes. I could not agree more about closing the loop holes.

I would rather rather have a national sales Tax, where everybody pays. Including those who are on welfare, and foodstamps. I see lots of these folks buying Chips and soda and other items that will not protect there health, and then go on medicaid cause they are obiest, and cant work. I also sen them selling steaks and their food for 25cents on the dollar so they can buy beer and cigs. so yes tax them on the food they get.

Taxing food stamps will not work for many reasons. Limiting their use will, also better oversite of their use. We don't have the folks to see what is bought and sold, however if their was a hotline to call about abuse it would be a start. Someone spent 100.00 on food stamps and a visit to the house shows no food. Bang your done. Drug testing is a plus also, thank you Rep. Day. We know you are working for the folks.
