Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. Anyone have a POC for those responsible for the maintanence of the park? I tried calling 736-5327 (which i thought was city hall) about 1600 from the park but didnt get an answer.

Had stopped by with a 3 yr old yesterday afternoon, used my "smarts" to figure out a lot of the equipment wasn't assembled so tried to avoid it, but baby girl ran in a not so straight line between the merrygoround and the swings and fell into a hole about a foot deep and a foot wide, got her out of that then i backed up into another hole and bout broke my ankle....both holes were covered well with leaves and several feet away from some unassembled equipment....there was orange construction fence kinda piled up on the ground toward the other end of the equipment.  I went ahead and moved leaves off some of the holes so maybe someone else wouldn't do the same and actually get hurt. Just thought I might be able to get someone out to get the construction fence back up. I guess its common knowledge for the residents of crocker of what is trying to be created there, but i dont live in Crocker and had never been to the park....so for us "foreigners" - maybe they should warn us about dug holes by posting a sign or atleast getting the barrier fences back up. Just dont wanna see anyone get hurt. Besides that had a blast!!
Called this morning and voiced my concerns.

We had pictures done on Saturday at the park and was letting the kids play on the equipment then realized it wasnt put together all the way. We thought since the orange construction fence was somewhat gone it was done. And yes we fell in the holes also. There is 2 really big ones by the slide! They really should do something before someone gets really hurt out there!!

I heard all the people on the park board quit, so if Crocker wants a park, the citizens need to form and work day and get everything put together. The City says it does not have enough manpower to fix up the park, for they do not get paid overtime. The City of Crocker is going to screw around, until our park is totally destroyed. I do not understand how they can get all of the playground equipment donanted and then they don't want to pay their employees to install it!!! It is just going to sit down there until the kids destroy it, if the town does not do something about it.

Not much has been done since Norma Lea and Joyce Peterson are not there anymore.
It would have been done even if Norma Lea had to pay it out of her own pocket.... But I think Joyce could of found the money in city funds.  JMO

Does anyone have any idea who has the hardware to put this stuff together. I think I can gather a few people up and put it together. It has been almost a year. I would hate to think someone would build a piece of playground equipment that takes 2+ years to assemble. Come on Crocker, take some pride in our community. If not it will die. It's already getting close.

Newcomb's is usually good about donateing things to the community.  I know they used to donate soccer shirts for the kids.  You might check with them if you need hardware.  I sure wouldn't hurt to ask.  Also whoever got the equipment might still have the hardware, if you knew who got it originally.

No thanks. I have enough to do at this time. In the future, maybe. This year, NO.

I'm going to check around and see what I can find out as far as the hardware goes. Will post as soon as I find something out.
