  • Valor7: Actually no it is not, a dependable Revenue stream will not come on line until the 4th quarter of 2017 so 2018 budget will be up in the air, not quite sure what they will have. By 2019 budget all will be well.

  • Valor7: You mean that tax that the Commissioners would not put on the ballot for so many years? Strange things happened when the citizens got a chance to vote on that issue.

    July 08, 2016, 12:54:09 PM
  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: sorry about the typos still working with just one arm in action
    April 13, 2016, 01:10:42 PM
  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

  • Lepard LLC: Gene Newkirk Rick I have waited for a Sheriff to bring it to me on what he wanted. I have pushed Mr long for a while to get it to me. He told me he was close to having or done. Now hopefully the people will get to decide on it. I spoke with Steve about this a few times.

what good will it do, as long as the Feds say it's against the law and close down shops Like in Cal. and the Feds keep getting kick backs from the phamacy companies, and privite prison owners it will remain Illegal. so they fill our prisons will pot smokers, enstead of Meth producers and heroin sellers. What would the cartels in Mexico due if it was legal???
If it was legal, the cartels would go out of business, as MJ is 80% of their income.

Id like to see it at least de criminalized. too many folks are in prison over the mere posession of it. Usage is debatable . But a person having a plant stored in a baggie is less harmful to me and my family than a drunk, a child molester, Burgler, you name it ???. I dont fear pot heads. Never has a stoner tried to rob rape fight or cause any havoc in my life. Cant say the same about the rest. Alcohol is legal. yet caused more problems than anything else. Decriminalize it and regulate it. Easy fix. If i eat/Drink, too much salt, garlic, caffeine, oregano, Hot peppers, Hot Products, or have a stressfull day my BP goes up. my health is comprimised daily by products perfectly legal. Marijuana to me is no different than any other herb. Sure it affects your normal wellbeing ....Name something that doesnt. Its time for intelligence to allow us to move forward.Quit sending people to prison over it, quit acting like its as bad as chemically altered drugs and let people enjoy what they want. A cigarette has over 500 deadly chemicals responsible for over half of lung problems. yet you can buy it legal. possess a Joint.....spent time in jail........dont make sense. Clove Cigarettes...Legal....Banana peels...as absurd as it is....legal.....you can smoke your yard waste....not healthy at all...but legal......You can buy paint and sniff it. Not legal to sniff it...but you can buy it. hell you can smoke your own shit if you wanna....Not recommended but legal. Our laws are retarded and not real intelligent if you look at things in respect of others. JMHO.

Anyone watch Weed Wars?
Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, So love the people who treat you right, Forget the ones who don't, and believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

I watched it last night and alltho at State levels they have legalized marijuana for medical purposes BUT at Federal levels they are harrassing the legit buisness with Tax problems to shut them down and all other crap. They CLAIM because they are legal stores its a huge money making buisness. Federal laws shouldnt be involved in MY opinion
