  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

To the voters of Sub-district 3 Crocker Missouri! I would like to make a few things clear, I am running for a seat on the Pulaski County Ambulance Board for several reasons. First, I feel my 9 years of dedicated service in the Fire service along with my time employed as an Emt-B and Currently as a 911 Operator for Pulaski County would be extremely beneficial for our diverse community! Second, I want to serve as a representative of the public, in the public's interest, and for the entire district served by the board of directors. I also want to be a voice for the employees, and ensure they are treated fairly and with respect. I think the times of a good ole boy system should be in the past and with your help we can eliminate it together...

Something I would also like to clear up, This is in no way a personal vendetta towards the director or anyone with the Pulaski County Ambulance District, This is something I would like to make clear! One thing i will promise if elected, I will make sure everything brought up to the board, will be in the best interest of the community and the employees proudly serving it! I feel the current board of directors will look upon me negatively and without an open mind, I think it is clear with the phone calls and statements that have been made i am not welcome on the board! To the current board of directors and the current administrator  I ask this, Stop with the phone calls stop with the comment's, give me the opportunity, that you would with anyone else elected to the board (if Elected), and let me prove to you that i am there for the best interest of the residents and employees of Pulaski County Ambulance District, Pulaski County Missouri. ~ Joshua Hall...

Anyhow Mr. Hall, it would seem as if the current board is in fear of something.  :shame: Sounds like having someone new and open-minded in there wouldn't be a bad thing. I wish you the best in your attempt to serve on the board of directors.

I believe it may be time for a change of Ambulance Director also.
It may save the county some money. JMO

I'm not sure how it works, it may not necessarily save the county money, or particularly the residents of the county. But it would be interesting to see where all the $$$ goes and what it's used for.
On a side note, I drive to Springfield frequently and from the way I understand it, the ambulance building in Laquey is the newest of the buildings? During the summer it looks like a hay field outside there in the front yard. I feel embarassed being a Pulaski County resident and having people from all over the country driving by and seeing that building/lot along the interstate which is representative of public safety in Pulaski County in general.
The money is going somewhere... but apparently not with the upkeep of their facilities.

How do you begin to go about getting an audit? Just from hearing what Mr. Hall has to say, it doesn't sound like the current Board of Directors is open to anything, especially since they're working hard to ensure he doesn't get elected.

This is a sore subject for me, I don't understand how the directors son can be paid to do the lawn maintenance? does it not have to be put in the paper and a bid submitted? I may be wrong, They spent thousands in a new mower, and the bases still look like a hayfield. What an embarrassment....

I didn't think this until I had received a call from a friend letting me know that another board member had called and asked a local Businessmen to run against me....  What is being said? Why am i not welcome? As far as I know the Board Member in question doesn't know a thing about me.... So my question's are also Why? What are they hiding that they don't want the public to see?

The more times I read this, the more I become alarmed. That is very disturbing that the current Board of Directors and/or Administrator are so concerned with someone outside of their "group", "clique" or however else you may describe it getting on the "inside." Why would they not be welcoming someone with a public safety background that is wanting to promote the district and make it better for both the community and it's employees?
