  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

Rolla, Mo. —    Rolla area residents will have the opportunity to pay their respects to a fallen soldier Friday.

The procession will start at the airport before making its way down Route 63 to Licking. Once in Licking the cortege will it will take a left on 32, a right on South Main Street, another right on College and a left back on to 63 to Houston. The 2006 graduate of Licking High School, son of Dan and Jeannie Smith, leaves behind his wife, Lara, and children, 5-year-old Wyatt and 2-year-old Carson who live at Fort Bragg, N.C., and a brother, Ethan Smith.
The public is encouraged to come out and show their respect for Smith as the procession makes its way through Rolla.
According to Sgt. Dan Crain of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, several hundred Freedom Riders are expected to escort the hearse from the airport.
“It is a time to pay respect and a very somber occasion,” said Crain.
Crain said he hopes people will come out and show their support so the family knows the area understands the sacrifice they have made.
He also urges people to stay off the roads and on the sidewalks as the motorcade passes through Rolla.
“In the past the citizens of Rolla have done a remarkable and commendable job in showing up in large numbers,” said Crain. “It says a lot for the community and the individuals.  Rolla area residents will have the opportunity to pay their respects to a fallen soldier Friday.
