  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

I can definitely say I saw some of the sickliest deer I have ever seen today. They really look like they are just about to starve, they are moving a long way for water and food.  I am afraid we will see more of this before it gets better.  I really hope this is all that is causing the Elk deaths as well.
If anybody knows MAYNARDS given name please PM me with it.  I will not tell who tells me!

Food is scarce for all the animals.  Rabbits, possums, raccoons, etc. are coming down and eating at a little compost pile I have...then they go for the tomatoes, bell peppers, grapes, etc. on the vine.  Makes us mad, but you can't blame them.  The drought has killed their food.
....and that night as the moon crossed the mountain, one more Coyote was heard...

Will not be as fat this year as they are struggling in the woods as well. Already eating the pinecones in my yard. Walnuts have dropped and are turning black and the squirrels are already having a hard time finding acorns to eat.

Went to public beach 1 last week, the females are looking horrible, the males however where beautiful and full... I guarantee the Deer at Happy Hollows are not starving by any means... They've ate enough pumpkin vines to keep them replenished for a long time

One reason for the wandering animals was they were looking for water.  The edges of the river and ponds where they usually drink is way to hot.  Even fish are dying from the hot surface water.
....and that night as the moon crossed the mountain, one more Coyote was heard...

I am hoping for a good winter this year! A hard winter may be devastating  to the animals.
