News Release
Pulaski County Sheriff’s Weekend Calls
Pulaski County Sheriff J. B. King
Aug. 6, 2012

On Aug. 4, 2012 at approximately 11:39am the Pulaski County Sheriffs office was advised of a suicidal subject who was somewhere in the Waynesville area driving a truck. A number of possible locations for the person were checked without success. Further investigation led deputies to the Waynesville City Park where the subject was finally located at 1:04pm. The subject was taken to the Sheriff’s office for a medical evaluation and Jacks Wrecker towed the vehicle.

On Aug. 4, 2012, at approximately 6:45pm several deputies were sent to the area of the Boiling Spring Campgrounds for a reported fight involving a number of subjects that was in progress near the boat ramp. Upon arrival the deputies found that the incident was over and most of the subjects had already left the scene. The deputies were back in service by 7:46pm.
On Aug. 4, 2012, at approximately 7:37pm deputies were sent to a reported assault on Hartford Road halfway between Dixon and St. Robert. Upon arrival the deputies were advised by the residents at the location that they had nothing to do with the call and that a vehicle with intoxicated subjects had driven up to their home and told them about the assault. The deputies searched the area and found a parked vehicle with an intoxicated party however the car was not in operation and it was not positively determined to be the car from this incident.
On Aug. 4, 2012, at approximately 11:53pm deputies were sent to the Roadhouse Bar at the Mo. 7 overpass for a reported physical fight between two intoxicated males. Upon arrival the males were found to be separated and nobody wanted to press charges. The male subjects were issued a future no trespass order for the premises and sent home in a cab.
On Aug. 5, 2012 at 9:00am a deputy was sent to a reported burglary in the Dixon area that was reported to be in progress. With the aid of a Dixon City Police Officer a female subject was detained and then arrested after additional investigation. The female was later charged by the Pulaski County Prosecutor with burglary in the second degree.
On Aug. 5, 2012, at approximately 6:17pm deputies were sent to the Salem Road area in Hunters Point for a reported home invasion robbery and assault. The female party at the residence told deputies two unknown males wearing masks had entered her home and struck her with their fists. The males had fled the scene on foot and it was unknown if they had stolen anything from the residence. The female victim was sent to a local hospital and a search for the males did not locate them. This case remains under investigation.
In addition over the past weekend Pulaski County deputies completed and forwarded to the Pulaski County Prosecutor an additional six statements of probable cause in cases where an arrest had not been made and no suspect was in custody. One PC was for a landlord/tenant dispute that involved a possible burglary second degree violation. One was for a previous case of drug and drug paraphernalia possession, back in March of 2012, for which a lab report had just been received back from the state and the charge request was completed.

Additional statements of probable cause were completed and submitted requesting a total of five domestic assault third degree charges for other cases. We are waiting for the action of the Prosecutor on all of these cases.

Wow....I never thought I'd feel unsafe leaving my doors locked in the day, but I've been locking them all the times. I had the scanner on for Phelps County and it was non stop all weekend.
