Bomb Threat Suspect Arrested in Pulaski County

Authorities in Pulaski County concluded an intensive two-day investigation into the bomb threat made early Tuesday morning that resulted in the closing of all Pulaski County courts and offices. Thirty-two year old Joshua Lachowicz was arrested late this evening (Thursday) near his home in Dixon by the Pulaski County Sheriff and Dixon police officers.

Early Tuesday morning an anonymous individual called the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, advising a bomb had been placed in one of the courtrooms and had named one judge’s court specifically. Additional circumstances accompanying the call necessitated a full response to the threat, requiring military bomb detection dogs, along with an Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit. Assuring the courthouse was clear of any explosive devices took most of the day on Tuesday.

A joint investigation by the Pulaski County Prosecutor’s Office and Sheriff’s Department, along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, resulted in multiple cases being filed against the suspect. Joshua Lachowicz was arraigned this evening in Pulaski County for the charges of Terroristic Threats and Tampering with a Judicial Proceeding. Lachowicz is currently being held in the Pulaski County Jail on a one-million dollar bond.
