Golf with a Cop Event Raises Over $700 for Shop with a Cop Program

Kevin Hillman, Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney, is pleased to announce that the Golf with a Cop event this last Saturday, organized by the Prosecutor’s Office, raised over $700 for Pulaski County’s Shop with a Cop Program.  In addition, numerous local youth were able to play a round of golf for free with local law enforcement officers at the St. Robert Municipal Golf Course.
“We were planning on some sort of fundraising event to support the Shop with a Cop Program this year.  With the events that happened in Ferguson, we decided to try and combine that fundraiser with an event where youth could have positive interaction with law enforcement officers.  I think we accomplished both missions and it was great to see these kids out playing golf with our local police officers,” said Prosecuting Attorney Kevin Hillman.
The Prosecutor’s Office wishes to thank the Waynesville Police Department, the St. Robert Police Department, and the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, as well as the City of St. Robert and the staff at the St. Robert Municipal Golf Course for supporting this event.  It especially wants to recognize Officers Josh Hazel and Travis Shaffer from the Waynesville Police Department, Officer Tyson Russell of the St. Robert Police Department and Deputy Justin Morgan of the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department for serving as excellent mentors for our youth.  Finally, special thanks go out to all of the sponsors, listed below, who made this event possible.
