Prosecutor’s Office Victims’ Rights Week Activities Raise over $500.00 to help Crime Victims in Pulaski County
Kevin Hillman, Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney is pleased to announce that the Prosecutor’s Office Breakfast and Golf Tournament in honor of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week raised over $500.00.  These funds will be used to support crime victim service providers in the community, such as Genesis House and Kids Harbor.
In addition, the funds will be used to help support the Sheriff’s Departments efforts to exhume and test DNA of a murder victim found in a low water crossing of Mill Creek off Canyon Road in 1981 and never identified.  It is hoped that modern testing not available at the time of her death will allow us to identify her and possibly lead to clues on who committed the murder. At the very least, it may bring closure to a family as to the whereabouts of their loved one.
The Prosecutor’s Office would like to thank the following persons, groups, and businesses that donated to make this program a success.
David Lowe, Attorney at Law
Carey Heitman, State Farm Insurance
Linda Schonbok, St. Robert Municipal Ct.
