Haven't been there in a few years...seems I get in trouble when I drink.  ANYWAY... the barbecue is the best and probably compares up there with Bandanna's in St. Louis.

CONGRATULATIONS KRICKET AND ROB!!!!  I went to their reception last night at the Elbow Inn.  Never been there before, it was quite different but I really enjoyed it.  Karaoke was a blast, we have some very talented singers in this area, then again there are the "others."  The girls who were working behind the bar were working their behinds off but still managed a smile for almost everyone.  Good job!!! :karma:

I've never been but I have a compliment to pass on.  I ran into a cousin from St Louis that I hadn't seen in many years.  When I told him where I lived, he said that he and his wife had been out for a ride down here. They were a little thirsty and another biker told them to stop by the Elbow Inn.  He said that everyone there was so friendly, said you all treated him like you had known him all his life.  They had a great time and plan to come back down soon.

The Elbow is a great place to hang out, if you like a good cold beer, good bbq and friendly people.

Depends on how early you get there. It is kid friendly til about 7 or so, earlier on Thursday nights, which is bike night. They will always be friendly and nice, but when the crowd really starts getting there it can be a little frenzied.

There were a lot of kids there last Thursday for the wedding reception and there wasn't any problem. I think most of the kids were gone by 8 or so.  A few songs on the jukebox are not kid friendly and I heard a few karaoke songs that were a little rough around the edges.  So I would leave before that starts if I had kids.

There are bras hanging all over the ceiling.  Not a kid's place.  It's a bar.

real food, but not necessarily their b-b-q. In the past might be pizza, spaghetti, salads and sandwiches, whatever. Haven't been down in quite a while so just wondered if they still did it.

I love a well smoked brisket!

If Im not mistaken its free if you ride. Place seems to cater to bikers BUT it is a fun place to go and during the summer months. Terrys nice enough to let people pull their canoes or flatbottoms out there after floating down. Always had a blast there.
On another subject theres nothing more exciting than seeing about 400 bikes with police escort crossing the Devils Bridge that I hope can get the funding to restore.

Food used to be free whether you rode or not. Just show up and eat. If you rode in tho, you got cheap longnecks. But that has been a few years ago.
