  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

:)Once again a family member has had to have someone call an ambulance. Again today, the folks that came were patient, kind, considerate and helpful. Don't know where you find such an awesome group, but I would lay odds  that we have the best in the state!  Thank you for all that you do!

It's just an age thing. Not much anyone can do about it. We will all, hopefully, live life as fully as she once was able.

My grandson (1 year old) had put a bug in his mouth and was bitten or stung (we're not sure exactly) and immediately started vomiting profusely as if he had been poisoned. We called 911 and I have to say I am absolutely amazed at the wonderful response that was given to our emergency call yesterday evening. Officer Bench was first to arrive in just minutes and the EMT's, Briana Witzel and Michael McKellar, were just a moment behind him. They showed kindness and concern for not only my grandson but for my daughter and myself. Everyone should be proud of the emergency team we have because they truly do a wonderful job. Thank you so much.

I heard the ambulance dispatched to your house over our secondary radio in dispatch and knew that Deputy Bench was just down the road as he had cleared from a traffic stop nearby so I sent him.  It was one of those lucky times we had an officer real close to help the little guy as I only had 2 deputies covering the entire county last night.  Glad to hear he is ok....I will pass the word to Deputy Bench as he doesn't read the board and was planning to contact you on Thursday after his days off to check on your grandson.

Thank you. My grandson is doing fine now and I appreciate the concern of everyone involved. Prayer and a well trained emergency crew of good people played a major role in his well being. Thank you once again.

Are you able to tell us the cause, so that the rest of us might know what to watch for? Thanks to God and EMS for your grandson.

My grandson has just started walking and he gets to things a lot faster than we realize sometimes and of course being 1 year old everything goes in his mouth. Before we new it he had picked up a bug and put it in his mouth.   My daughter grabbed the bug out of his mouth and slung it across the room in a panic. It stung or bit him and he had an allergic reaction to it. He began vomiting and had what looked like foam around his mouth. He just kept on vomiting and acting as if he was choking so we called 911 and they took over from there. We still don't know what type of bug it was but it was a quick reminder how one split second can change your world. I don't think I have ever been as scared as I was at the thought of losing my grandbaby.
