I have learned that there is a trick with TK's.  You have to pretty much TELL them EXACTLY how you want your pizza and then you will get a good pizza everytime.  I like extra sauce on my pizza so I have to make a note to them to do so everytime.  Same goes with anything else I get on it.  Just tell them you like LOTS of whatever and they'll do it.

The only complaint I've had, and it's happened twice is that after requesting my large pizza to be cut into squares, it wasn't. The second time I was a little irritated because I told the person on the phone twice that I wanted it cut into squares and it wasn't. The staff's attitude really made me mad. It's like "oh, well, sorry!" Then the manager gave me a free 2 liter of soda. Okay. Yesterday I ordered again, and I showed up before it came out of the oven, so I was able to make sure it was cut the way I want it. I guess the trick sometimes is to be there.
The pizza is the best in town, hands down.  ;D

I have answer for that.... hahah

I was standing in there waiting for my pizza Friday night and I over heard them talking about cutting etc.  They have different people taking stuff out of the ovens and they don't have "tags" on them as they come out they only match the tag after it's cut and put in the box.

The manager guy said then, "do not take requests on how they want their pizza slice, because we can't guarantee it will happen"  They are just trained to cut a certain way for the size of pizza.

Anywho, I just over heard that conversation on Friday.

TK's used to be head & shoulders above anyone else in the area... Not so much anymore

but they all have had that built in for several years now..then they started the delivery charges when gas started jumping..so it sounds like now they are padding it even more.

Gas started jumping.  Another reason to blame our dependence on oil.  Pizza costs.

You can't beat the taste of TKs pizza. You can't beat the price of TKs pizza. And you got to love the fact that they are a "mom and pop" family business that recovered from a family tragedy and perserveared. They have NOT undermined their competitors by throwing away flyers or bad-mouthing and TKs STILL uses REAL CHEESE (not cheese flavored cheese) like the "other guys". There's alot of love in that TKs pizza. A lot of love indeed!

TKs is still a good place to get pizza... The delivery charge does have to do with the fact that a good portion of the time, the drivers don't get tipped. I was there the day before yesterday, and one of the guys was talking about how a Marine tipped him a quarter! That doesn't even cover the gas from idling at the front gate! :P
They are about the busiest pizza joint in the area, and sometimes things do happen, just like in anything else, but it's not often at all that they send out something that's below standards.  The employees there do work very hard, and work long shifts. They are even there RIGHT NOW, as snow is covering everything, and still delivering pizzas to boot!
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

we pick it up ourselves.  I figure they are busy, i'm not inconvenienced by picking it up either and its cheaper since I'm usually on the way by when I get off work.

Ive ordered from them for years.  The have always been well mannered and I have always received a great product.  I havent shopped around since I like their pizza, but I fell that it is reasonably priced too.

We love TK'S pizza but as trivial this may seem .... we were told there is a new policy and they will not cut our pizza into slices instead of squares, so we are shopping for a new pizza place. Any suggestions?

Not trying to be a smart aleck.....but ask 'em not to cut it and get a $1.69 pizza cutter and cut it to suit your family's needs.

I'm with you, I like the squares too.  I don't see how they will cut the very large pizza's into triangles though.  That would make them very hard to eat.

Sorry but in today's economy a prudent business owner would cut it in squares, serve it wearing a clown nose and singing Sinatra songs in a chipmunk voice to make people happy, and if it isn't how the customer asks for it, re-make it correctly, pronto.  The person jockeying the cut table should be competent enough to cut to order.  Lazy employees come and go, steady happy customers are worth their weight in gold.  I'd eat a whole uncut pizza to show them what for before I paid a penny for my own cutter.

I have a couple cutters and would have happily cut it myself but figured if they couldn't cut it the way I wanted they didn't need my business.
