  • Valor7: Actually no it is not, a dependable Revenue stream will not come on line until the 4th quarter of 2017 so 2018 budget will be up in the air, not quite sure what they will have. By 2019 budget all will be well.

  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

Another Piranha was caught at the Lake Of The Ozarks at the 5 mile marker. They say that the Piranha are tropical fish and shouldn't survive the winters here. They believe people are just releasing them into the lake from their private collections.

Piranha ARE tropical fish.  They are found in the Amazon basin typically.  Their temperature requirements are 70 to 85 F.
Unless the 600+ ft. deep lake has pockets that maintain that range, or close to it during the winter, the Piranha are going to succumb to disease it has no inherant resistance to and die.
Why would anyone dump one in there, they have a pretty high resale value.
I guess some people have more disposable cash than good sense.

Not very likely to happen.  Piranha are more fearful when  they are not in a school.  Mob mentality, you know.  LOL.

Seriously, when I had to stick my hands in their aquarium to clean it or whatever, they would scoot over to the far side, or ram themselves into the glass trying to get away.
Don't try to remove them from a net with your hands tho, I have had pirahna make swiss cheese out of their shipping bags if they were big enough to  have been leaving in a plastic jug instead.
