GW and his cronies should do real well since the price of crude went form $20 to almost $100 a barrel. And Dick can once again be the ruler of Haliburton. All we have to do now is to pay for the trillions of dollars they waisted.

I think you hit it on the head kbohon!  Economy has been doing outstanding until just recently, and what happened recently!  That's right, the Dems got control of both houses.  Hmmmmmm, makes me think there might be some connection, but I'm sure that never crossed anyones mind that has already posted.

the dem led congress has lower approval ratings than W!
W will have a well deserved retirement when he is done, but there is still one more year to go. He could have done more, could have done better. But that is true of any president. But there is still another year to do some more good. And he isn't disgracing the office like bubba did. What ten yr anniverary was recently noted?

At lease when Bill was in office it was not costing me a cent. Just because he had Monica under the desk in the oval office did not make him a bad president. This one has cost me more and it is still going up. I hope he retires and no one ever wants him to make a speech again.

aside from disgracing the office of the president, bubba did nothing to stop terrorism. we are paying for it now. He left office with the country in a recession. W  cut taxes so we didn't have to pay for it. taxes have gone down due to the tax cuts. obama wants to reverse them,we start paying again.

As far as disgracing the office of the president, it has been going on for 200 years. I also think that if we were not so greedy when it comes to oil and sticking our noses in other countries business we would not be in the situation we are in now. There are a lot of other countries that are dependent on oil but the are not invading other countries. Some of the money he and his cronies are wasting on the war should be taken from his retirement. He and his cronies are allowing government contractors to waste tax dollars and reap big benefits in the name of war and for what??? WM D's??? Saddam??
As far as Bin Laden, they know where he is and he worked for us until we left him and his tribes to be slaughtered by the Russians. I am saying that administration caused a lot of our problems and I hope W does not sleep after retirement.

YOu are correct in part of what you say Jinafrica.  The CLINTON administration is responsible for what happened with Bin Laden.  They deserted him and then failed to kill him when they had at least two opportunities.

All because of those Dems, eh? Right... (Note sarcasm dripping from letters here.)

Actually folks, blaming the President is a cop out, and the least creative, therefore laziest explanation you can offer.

WHAT exactly do you expect the President (Chief Executive) of this country to do to "fix" gas prices  (SOCIALISM DEMS????) Ask the Russians about their experiment, k?

Lets quit being silly and blaming the president - a quick analysis of the problem, and factors bearing upon it :

PROBLEM :

1.  Supply
2.  Demand   - in the simplest of terms.

NOW - FACTS

o      American are gluttons, that refuse to have their lifestyle altered to consume less.  You demand low prices so you can consume less, right???  Are low
prices a deterrant to irresponsible consumption, or are high prices?

o      OPEC, controlling a vast portion of the worlds oil reserves cuts production to fix/control prices.  Your President, who you want to blame for the problem
asks to drill in Anwar (Alaska)  - your demmo elected officials won't let it happen because they want to have a problem to blame your Republican
President for.  Opec remains in control.

o      Oil refineries process crude to produce fuel...A Hurricane damaged many platforms(production) and refineries (supply), and the problem (to some extent)
persists to this date.  Too bad we don't have more energy alternatives, right?  Teddy Kenndy, a dem, won't let wind power towers in his pristine bay,
where he cruises with his yacht club...  People don't want nuclear power - acutually they do, as long as it is in someone elses area - despite nuclear
energy being the cleanest and safest source of power...

o      Oil/crude is a commodity, traded on the commodities market - based upon the above (Supply and demand), commodity traders drive the price of a
barrell higher...much, much  higer.  Want to blame someone, blame these guys that speculate on the slightest bit of bad news and cause prices to
skyrocket - the dems blocking production and limiting alternatives provide speculators plenty of bad news on which to speculate.

This is a free market economy - shall the president fix prices so you can continue to consume as much as you want without regard to supply, or demand?  (SOCIALIST)      If so, I would say you are nieve, and an irresponsible glutton that acts out of selfishness without regard of the fact this is a finite resource (oil) and they ain't exactly making more - rather than blaming the president, blame your dems, who have spent the last 8 years playing hardcore partisan politics in order to get a socialist, er democrat elected to the White House...

I eagerly await your rebuttal, and please, lets not take the easy way out - explain your position.

A gallon of milk is over $4.00 in Virginia, a gallon of soda pop is about $3.00 in most places, a gallon of designer water is over $8.00 if you buy the small bottles, good Vermont waffle syrup is about $24 a gallon, a carton of cigarettes costs about the average of a tank of fuel, and gasoline is $3.00.  I know you probably don't use as much of the items I've mentioned, but you are definitely in control of how much you do use.
....and that night as the moon crossed the mountain, one more Coyote was heard...

Your just another person that has forgotten what prompted our actions against Iraq in the first place.  It's got nothing to do with oil, it's about how things changed after Sep 11, 2001 and that the WHOLE WORLD thought they had WMDs.  Of course, we now know that information was wrong, but by that time we were already in Iraq!!

Concerning your comment about disgracing the office, I don't think any of our past President's had a BJ while on the phone discussing sending our soldiers into harms way, do you?

so its all about you and your wallet - damn those 259,999,999 other Americans - long as I'm making money I don't care what the Government does.  Spose lying under oath don't make him a bad guy either?  Spose a man that can forsake his marital vows and stone-faced lie about it to an entire country is a fine person, long as he puts a dollar in yer pocket.

You are one well informed and selfless American (dripping with sarcasm)
