  • Valor7: Actually no it is not, a dependable Revenue stream will not come on line until the 4th quarter of 2017 so 2018 budget will be up in the air, not quite sure what they will have. By 2019 budget all will be well.

  • Valor7: You mean that tax that the Commissioners would not put on the ballot for so many years? Strange things happened when the citizens got a chance to vote on that issue.

  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: sorry about the typos still working with just one arm in action
    April 13, 2016, 01:10:42 PM
  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

  • Lepard LLC: Gene Newkirk Rick I have waited for a Sheriff to bring it to me on what he wanted. I have pushed Mr long for a while to get it to me. He told me he was close to having or done. Now hopefully the people will get to decide on it. I spoke with Steve about this a few times.

It's all Eastern District, the problem is in the Western District. I don't own any property, my banker does, I just pay him to let me use it, and he's probably getting tired of that too. LOL
Besides you have to live on the property. Thanks for thinking I am rich though. If you are a GS 8 or up you make me look poor.. If my business at the shoe store doesn't double soon I may be gone... Looking for a $50,000.00 a year job, any offers? LOL

Rick with all the property you own, none is in the eastern district. Go figure:)

I don't know many people or politics in the Western District, but I am friends with one guy who does, so I called him. His name is Larry Southard, and Larry was considering running but has decided against it. Larry and I served on the Fair board together, and I know if Larry tells me things are so, I can trust that fact.  He said he is going to put his support behind David Dickey.. I asked him about whether he thinks David is pro law enforcement (To include letting the voters decide on this matter), and he said he thinks he is. He told me when he sees David he will ask him to contact me. He tells me that David is a former teacher at Laquey, and has been a Superintendent in other schools. David is currently working helping Crocker Schools with their administration issues.

I personally don't know David Dickey. OK folks if he has been around here and done all Rick says some of you know him. Whats the word. Hope he gets on this board. It would be good to have someone like JB and Gary that will talk to the folks good or bad. Hell it would be good if he has a interest in our county's law problems and willing to deal with it!

PS: Rick I still think you would be a dam good commisioner but I like ours here in the eastern district.
If your going to be dumb, you better be tough!

Thanks for the compliment. I am not running, and I am also satisfied with the status quo in the eastern district, for the most part.

Hey Jax - You can check with County Clerk's office to find out about the boundaries... or stop by their office, I'm sure they'll show ya on a map!

How do I find out what the boundaries of the eastern and western districts are?
