Yesterday I had to take my mom to st. bobs to do some shopping and she got hungry and said she wanted to eat at kfc so we went I was actually shocked the food bar was full and for once all tasted fresh including the chicken. And the staff was actually friendly for once. Has something changed over there?
Go ahead and blame me....Everyone else does

We ate there twice in the last month and the chicken has a "funny" taste to it, not so much the Original , but the Crispy
leaves a nasty after taste ... I'm wondering if it could be the new no-trans fat oil it's cooked in now? Really yuk!!!

KFC has had some problems in the past, The "sister manager" no longer works there.  Hopefully things are better now.
A person that does care is "Pat".  She works the drive-thru Monday-Friday.  She's been there for years!

My daughter and I went there today for an early dinner. We got there about 4PM, too early for the buffet, but they were nice enough to open it at that time. The food was good and fresh.

You know I'm not so sure about the service there because I've never dined in but in five years i've had KFC three times total.  Twice in waynesville and once in Osage beach.  The first time was five years ago from waynesville/stbob and I got soooo sick.  I thought I was going to die.  i don't have a weak stomache by any means but man, that was some serious food poisoning.  Well like i do, i got paranoid and convinced that it was the chicken/establishment and perhaps i was either allergic to the batter (although i used to eat it all the time as a teenager) or that the chicken had developed bacteria from being under the heat lamps too long.  So three years later i decided i should give it another go and it was probably a one in a million circumstance.  Well, it wasn't.  St.robert kfc had once again taken three days of my life and flipped them into three days of hell.  Sick again and sicker than ever in my life including the first KFC illness, i decided never ever to do this again.  I was done with KFC.  So last year I'm on the boat with my mother in law and she had packed us lunch.  Being forgetful as usual, she had brought KFC.  Instead of reminding her for the hundredth time that i don't eat KFC, i just took a few small bites and had a biscuit so as not to be rude.  And what'dya know...nothing.  I was fine.  Now I still don't dare risk it as I would be crazy to invite that kind of sickness into my life again, but I have a feeling it was just stbobs food service practices and standards that were poor.  Someone call OSHA.

OMG.  Are we sure that is only KFC?  Or are all chicken plants like that?  A friend (in California) once told me that there are no laws against cruelty to chickens because some religions still kill them as part of their ceremonys.  But after seeing that video, I doubt the religious people even come close to the terrible cruelty inflicted by those workers.

http://www.kentuckyfriedcruelty.com/

Im not big on PETA. In fact I believe they do more harm than good most times. But this video Taken from KFC suppliers made me not want to eat there. I know my food has to be killed, but Jeesh.....Im not sure Im comfortable eating a bird that has been through hell to get to my plate.

I couldn't watch the whole thing, it is sickening.  I will never never ever eat at KFC again. Are other chicken places any different?  They must be better or PETA would be on their case too. I think I'm gonna go cry.  So sad.

I went to KFC for lunch yesterday.  After placing my order and receiving my change, the cashier turned around and picked up a tray off the floor.  A stack trays were on the floor behind her leaning up against a trash can.  Next to the trays, also on the floor, was a bucket of water.  As she picked up the tray off the floor, she reached in the bucket and took out a rag and wiped off the top of the tray.  She then looked around and realized she didn't have anything to dry it with so she went back and found a towel.  After she dried it she place the tray in front of me.

As I asked for my money back and told her why, she attempted to explain the water was sanitized.  She was confused when I told her the trash can wasn't.  No more St Robert KFC for me.

Still haven't been because of the treatment of the chickens.

and I am sad because I used to love KFC. I worked there for a couple years when they were in the other building.

The treatment of those chickens in inexcusable.

I tried the " grilled" chicken, and wasn't fond of it at all. It was definity baked, it had no flavor at all and they are such small pieces for the price

I had a couple of co-workers eat here for lunch the other day, and I am being told that their boxes and the plastic bags they were in had no KFC logos.
Then another told me that they don't have their hot wings anymore. He was told "We are in a transition period".

Anyone know what the deal is?

Not sure if this franchise is owned by the same person that owns the one in Jefferson City and the Lake but have heard they didn't want to pay for the KFC name so are dropping the franchise.  The chicken isn't as good and none of their logos are on their packaging.

They removed their KFC sign.
The marquee below says JC Chicken.
