This story gets worse by the minute.  Not enough evidence to convict her in 1999.  She should never have been a Mother.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Remember that no matter how bad things are in your life, there are others dealing with much worse obstacles, and be thankful for what you have.

This is messed up.
Some people are like Slinkies... Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I'd give my left arm to be ambidextrous...

Kristin would have to approve your request to be a friend...or request you to be her friend.

I do not understand how a person could do that if she did not want her let someone else have her.  I just feel so bad I have seen those children some were before and I just want to cry(correction can't stop crying).  I hope and pray that the other children get help.

Bottom line this story is sad. I can not believe that any mother could do this to their children. I am a military wife. There are pleanty of wives out there that are willing to help if you just ask. She needed help that she did not get and now this is the after effect of it. I am not saying the hospital here on base is the best but I have sure seen worse. I hope the living children are safe and they can recover from this horrible tradedy.

Maybe she had trouble getting an appointment at the hospital?
How could that be?  The ER is open 24/7.  If she wanted help, its there.

This woman has had problems forever, i cant believe the first baby died and she didnt tell anyone and hid it in a shoe box. I mean come on!!  Women like this should not be allowed to have children, there are people out there that cant have children and would do anything to have one and then you have this dumb ass who has killed two!! I hope she burns in he!!

Army wife won't face death for killing baby while husband deployed to Iraq
FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. (Aug. 20, 2010) — An Army wife accused of starving her 11-month-old daughter to death while her husband was deployed to Iraq accepted a federal plea bargain this week of involuntary manslaughter in return for an eight-year sentence in federal prison without parole. This week’s plea bargain by Kristin M. Phillips, 35, is a major change from the original grand jury indictment of first-degree murder, issued on April 2, 2008, which carried a potential death penalty and a minimum penalty of life imprisonment for killing her daughter “in an especially heinous, cruel and depraved manner” sometime between Feb. 18 and Feb. 21, 2008. Media reports at the time revealed that she also had another child die in a different state about a decade earlier. Then known as Kristin Matheny, after her dead baby was found in a shoebox with air freshener to conceal the smell, she was charged in 1998 with not notifying an Illinois coroner of a death and sentenced to 90 days in jail with followup counseling and probation required.
