  • Valor7: Actually no it is not, a dependable Revenue stream will not come on line until the 4th quarter of 2017 so 2018 budget will be up in the air, not quite sure what they will have. By 2019 budget all will be well.

  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: sorry about the typos still working with just one arm in action
    April 13, 2016, 01:10:42 PM
  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

Our road has cancer (Twilight Drive) Exposure to chronic construction and patchwork repair have left it in a state of weakness.  Ever since St Robert has built the parallel roads to Missouri Avenue, we have had increasing flooding.  What used to be a small ditch has become a major ditch, 10feet deep in places eventually emptying behind the houses on north side of Twilight.  The increased water was something we were able to deal with but then came the sewer lines.  (Who contracted this...Pulaski county sewer district???) Our road was chopped to lay a pipe, and chat was placed on top to cover it.  So....now when we get rain, not even including this nice storm...our road washes away... not just a nice large area, but a steep drop where the road used to meet.  I have seen people attempt to traverse it...even after the rain and flooding have stopped and bottom out their cars.  Who do I blame. 1. The city of St Robert for not providing adequate drainage after construction of new roads... and I bet an impact study was not done either.  2. Pulaski County Sewer district for not ensuring the impact of their construction crew (contracted or self owned) return the affected area to same or better condition. We can thank a resourceful neighbor for taking his time and marking a dangerous crossing (even though we should know not to expect the road to be there when under water... what if there was a medical emergency down here.,.its a dead end road, would you feel the same way if it were your mom at the end of the road having a medical emergency!

Well, that's good for you, but you should come on down the road a little further and see what we're going through. Not pretty

im sure...and it was never this bad until all the construction... accountability is what the county needs... they have to pay to maintain the roads...any we pay the county.  Nuff said, people just please be careful!!!

Send that backhoe out west! Our crack grader operator blocked the entire ditch on one side of the road and now we have a stream going across.  Only a matter of time before it's impassable.

It isn't going to get any better. I took some time and took pictures of Texas road and went to the meeting at the courthouse. They didn't even bother to look at the pictures. "we are aware of the condition of the road" They said that the road needed to be completely redone, but we have no money. I asked them what our property taxes were used for and the personnel property tax and I received the deer in the headlight look. What the question everyone should be asking is where is the money going? Time to audit Pulaski county!!!!

I will say that my street got better.  New grader operator or the supervisor took care of business.  My street is in pretty good shape now.

If we get the rain they're calling for tonight and tomorrow, there will be no Texas Road, and maybe no more my house. Won't miss the road, it's pretty worthless anyway. I would, however, very much miss my house.
