I changed it to show votes avert each person has voted rather than at the end -- Is it working  better?

I know it is HOT all this week, but please, please exercise your right to vote on Tuesday. Voting in the Primary Election is THE most important thing you can do to make your voice heard in government at all levels.
There are several candidates unopposed in the Primary and I am one of them. There are several contested races, too. I have tried to stay back out of the way and let the contested race candidates discuss their views & plans for their offices.
I do want to be the next assessor for Pulaski County. After the Primary election, as defeated candidates are removing their signs I hope to start putting mine up for the November general election.
I will talk more on specific points as time goes on but I just wanted to take the time encourage (no, maybe challenge) all to get out to get out and vote.
Yes indeed, I still need and want your vote and would greatly appreciate it you would vote for a change in the courthouse by electing me ;D .
But even if you don't vote for me :'( , do go and exercise your right, and let your opinions & ideas be known, by voting. __________________

+ Karma to you Ed, for reminding people how important it is to vote.

I think anyone who does not vote should never complain about the way elected officials do things.  I also believe that an educated vote is the best vote no matter who you vote for.

Just a note to introduce myself. I am Edwin "Ed" Warden and I am the Republican candidate for Pulaski County Assessor. Born & raised in nearby Dent County just south of Salem. I spent 20 years serving this great nation in the U.S. Army. I now want to serve the citizens of Pulaski county as your Assessor. My wife (of nearly 34 years) & I came to Pulaski county in 1988 when the Army sent me here as an Army Recruiter. We purchased our home on Y Hwy in the Dixon area and have been paying taxes here ever since. In 1998 I retired from the Army and started Warden Auction Service. I also completed real estate school & have been working in real estate in the area since then. I have learned a lot about determining the value of real estate and feel that I can use this knowledge in the assessor's office to make sure that properties are assessed fairly.
I don't like taxes, but know they are a necessary evil in our government. I do feel that they should be equitable & and property should be assessed in a timely manner.
I feel the assessor's office needs to be brought into the 21st century with a website and a means for the taxpayers to contact our office via email, rather than a phone call to a different person everytime and having to drive down to the courthouse to contact your elected official.
The assessor should be a mouse click away and you the taxpayer have a documented record of the gripe, complaint, or compliment to our office and our response.
The incumbant, has been in that office for nearly 20 years and I know it will be hard to unseat him. But with your help, vote & support we can continue to change county government for the better.
I thank you for your time to read my little narative. I sincerely appreciate your vote on November the 4th.

Remember......if you are not registered to vote, you must do so before the
8th of October.

Thanks Again,

Politics mean nothing. Exercising your right to vote means everything.

Just a quick note to say thanks for all the support I've received from friends here on the Pulaski County Web. I've tried to run a clean campaign but my opponent's radio ads are making it hard for me not to be a smart aleck.
Please Vote! Thanks again!! :)

For some reason those who "sling mud" during an election seem to wind up with it sticking to themselves, at least in my book.  I voted for you Ed and I hope you win, but if you don't you should still be proud of yourself and the way you handled your campaign.  I am proud of you!

A "Thank You" to the 5286 residents of Pulaski County that voted for me. I still have a job. It is not time for me to be in Public Service, apparently. Congratulations to Mr Harrison on his 6th term as assessor.
